☷Army Sustainment Command Inspects Fort Buchanan s Programs

Members from the U . S . Army Sustainment Command , G4 , Readiness Division recently went on a trip to Fort Buchanan to check out the command supply discipline program and the command maintenance discipline program at the installation’s Logistics Readiness Center ( LRC ) from January 29 to February 2 . Colonel Charles N . Moulton , the commander of Fort Buchanan , expressed his appreciation for the team ' s efforts and findings . The U . S . Army Command Supply Discipline Program aims to standardize and enforce supply discipline across all Army organizations , while the Commander’s Maintenance Discipline program helps Garrison leaders with day - to - day maintenance responsibilities . During the inspection , specific areas such as the property book program , driver’s program , and supply operations were examined . The LRC received positive ratings overall , with the property book receiving a perfect score and the command maintenance discipline program being rated at 99% . Although the administrative management of the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss program could be improved , the LRC Fort Buchanan had excellent inspection results . David Hankins , a logistics management analyst , praised the property book office for their routine and efficient functions . The inspectors believe that the review results reflect the hard work and dedication of the entire LRC team , and they noticed a difference in commitment compared to other installations . Ever since I walked through the door , you guys had all the key players ready to face the inspection , Ortiz said . On the other hand , this inspection was a real challenge for Colon . Coordinating with the Garrison staff outside the LRC , which I have no control over , made this evaluation complicated . But these results show how hard we work every day to meet the Army standards for supply and maintenance operations , not just for Garrison Fort Buchanan but for all the Title 10 units on the installation . I ' m really proud of my team . They ' re a bunch of professionals , Colon added . The Logistics Readiness Center provides support to service members and units at Fort Buchanan during peace or war . They ' re in charge of all logistics activities like supply , maintenance , transportation , and materiel readiness . Fort Buchanan is an important base in the Caribbean , helping to enhance the readiness and quality of life for our warfighters and their families . It ' s home to a diverse military community , including Reserve and National Guard units , the Marine Corps Reserve , and the Navy Operational Support Center .
