Command Sgt . Maj . Kofie Primus , the senior enlisted advisor for the 21st Theater Sustainment Command , talked about what they learned from supporting Ukraine from a logistical perspective at the Association of the United States Army Global Force Symposium Exposition on March 26 in Huntsville , Alabama . The 21st TSC Campaign plan has four main areas that they can use for the entire sustainment operation based on what they learned from Ukraine: Contested Power Projection , Adaptive Sustainment Network , Secure Prolonged Endurance , and Collective Sustainment . Maj . Gen . Ronald Ragin , the commanding general , also discussed the plan during his Warrior ' s Corner segment with Command Sgt . Maj . Kofie Primus . They answered questions from the audience and talked about how the plan can be used in a contested logistics environment . The 21st TSC hosted a Warrior ' s Corner event at the Global Force Symposium to share the lessons learned from supporting Ukraine and how they can be applied to modernize and adapt the sustainment enterprise . Kofie Primus , a senior enlisted advisor with the 21st TSC , recently had a chat with Army senior leaders and industry partners where they discussed the importance of staying focused on projecting and sustaining combat power . One of the main topics at the meeting was the need to be prepared for conducting logistics in challenging environments , like in Ukraine . They talked about how adversaries will try to disrupt our logistics and how important it is for us to find solutions to this problem . They also highlighted the importance of adapting to operate in contested environments and outlined a plan with four main focuses to ensure materials and equipment get to where they are needed . One key point they made was the vital role of resupplying ammunition , especially in combat situations , as it can heavily influence the outcome of a major war . "We had a discussion with a Ukrainian logistician and we asked him if there was one thing that we could invest in in the next five years based on what you know today , what would that be , " Primus said . " ' The three things he mentioned were munitions production and inventory , maintenance capabilities and parts , and utilizing command post storage . ' " "One that creates multiple dilemmas for the adversary , maintaining a focused operational effect at critical moments over time . " As time goes by , the faster you recover your combat power , you will win , ” Primus added . Larkin and Primus went on to re - emphasize that the lessons learned from Ukraine are relevant to the entire sustainment enterprise and that logistics operations must adapt to deter all adversaries . To emphasize the relevance , Larkin ended his speech with a short story he discussed with a Ukrainian soldier during his tour of duty in Europe . "I work closely with Ukrainians every day , " Larkin said . Talking about one person with whom he developed a close relationship , Larkin continued , "He had not seen his mother - in - law since the beginning of the conflict because she was on the other side and his family had moved since the beginning of the conflict Eight times home . I asked him , you know . . . what do you think about this , and he said , ' It ' s simple . We have to win , because ultimately if we don ' t win , we won ' t exist anymore . Our language , our The culture , our people , our history and our families will cease to exist . ”
