☷Harrisburg Man Sentenced To 14 ½ Years Imprisonment for Drug Trafficking

In a recent announcement , the United States Attorney ' s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania revealed that George E . Jones , a 43 - year - old resident of Harrisburg , Pennsylvania , has been sentenced to 151 months in prison and three years on supervised release for trafficking cocaine . The sentencing was carried out by Judge Jennifer P . Wilson . Additionally , Jones was given a consecutive 24 - month prison term for violating the conditions of his supervised release from a previous drug trafficking conviction . According to United States Attorney Gerard M . Karam , Jones had pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base weighing 28 grams or more on July 20 , 2023 . It was also noted that Jones had previously served a 10 - year federal prison sentence for drug trafficking in 2011 . After being released from this sentence in May 2020 , Jones resumed selling crack and powder cocaine in Harrisburg within two months while still under supervised release . This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods ( PSN ) , a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities . The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives , with assistance from the Harrisburg Police Bureau . The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Consiglio .
