☷US Department of Labor recovers more than $140K in back wages damages for 118 home healthcare workers employed by two Louisiana companies

The US Department of Labor has managed to get over $140K in back wages and damages for 118 home healthcare workers employed by two Louisiana companies , Twin City Home Care Services and Divine Services LLC . These workers were being paid less than they deserved , which unfortunately happens quite often in this industry . The Department of Labor found that these companies were paying their employees the regular rate for all hours worked , even if they were working overtime . The Division was able to recover $84 , 586 for Twin City Home Care Services employees and $56 , 067 for Divine Services employees . It ' s important for employers to properly calculate overtime pay to ensure workers are fairly compensated . If employers have any questions , they can contact the Wage and Hour Division for assistance . The Division protects workers regardless of their background and can communicate with them in over 200 languages . They also have a Timesheet App available in both English and Spanish to help workers keep track of their hours and pay accurately .
