☷Investigation recovers $560K for workers denied full wages benefits by District of Columbia behavioral health department s group homes provider

   An investigation by the Department of Labor found that Lamont Homes , a provider of group homes in the District of Columbia , violated federal pay laws by not properly compensating 34 workers . The department recovered over $560 , 000 in wages and benefits for the workers . Lamont Homes has agreed to make changes to ensure compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and the McNamara - O’Hara Service Contract Act . Workers can use the division’s online tool to check if they are owed back wages . Employers and workers can contact the division for assistance in multiple languages .
