ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the unit Social Services Supervisor, provide intensive social work services for children and families in the child welfare system. Provide highly critical social work services in non-voluntary child protection, child welfare and juvenile delinquency cases.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS in Social Work or Human Services-related field. One (1) year professional work experience. Additional experience in counseling, social work, chemical dependency or child protection preferred. Strongly prefer completion of Social Work CORE
Training Required:
Ongoing Child Protection Services training to include forty (40) CEUs every two (2) years.
Certificates/Licenses Required:
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Note:
Selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal background study. Must have demonstrated the ability to work positively in a team environment and function constructively during conflict resolution. The person chosen for this position must fully support the core values and mission of Carlton County Public Health & Human Services.
