OVERVIEW:
Provide intensive prevention and intervention services and referrals for students from kindergarten through 12th grade who are facing challenges such as chronic school absenteeism, homelessness, social services concerns, or court involvement.
Conduct assessments of individual students and their families to identify risk factors, strengths, and needs, and develop personalized plans to address concerns and link to needed resources.
Serve as a liaison between schools, law enforcement, probation, the Sixth Judicial Court, Fond du Lac Community, Carlton County Public Health & Human Services, and other agencies and programs.
Record, evaluate, and present truancy statistics, providing regular reports to ensure that strategies are effectively achieving desired outcomes.
Coordinate efforts to provide necessary items to children and youth, such as school supplies, clothing, and personal care items.
Develop and implement Restorative Justice/Practices programs to address crime, harm, and conflict within the community and schools.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) year degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, Criminology, or related field AND Two (2) years’ experience working with community and supporting families or related field experience; OR Four (4) year degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, Criminology, or related field.
Certificates/Licenses Required:
Must hold a valid Minnesota driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
