SECRETARY BLINKEN: Hey everyone , good morning! It ' s great to have my buddy , the foreign minister of Peru , here at the State Department . We just gave back some cool 16th century documents to Peru that belonged to the first theater troupe in the Americas . Thanks to the FBI and Justice Department for helping with that . We ' re celebrating 15 years of our free trade agreement and looking forward to our high - level dialogue in May . Peru is a valued partner in the Americas and we ' re working together on security , democracy , and economic growth . Let ' s keep deepening our partnership . Over to you , Javier . FOREIGN MINISTER GONZÁLEZ - OLAECHEA: Good morning , Antony . Thank you for returning the historic document to Peru . This shows the great friendship between our countries . Thank you for our ongoing conversations . The first time was in San Francisco , officially . The second time was at the table , where you kindly invited me , and now for the third time in this amazing room . I just want to thank you for your cooperation , our honest relationship , and the ongoing dialogue with Brian , who is a friend to Peru . We may not always agree , but the important thing is that we share the same values and feelings , and I genuinely mean that . This year is full of common challenges . We are still waiting for confirmation of the President ' s visit , which would be a great opportunity for Peru to offer its support and everything it can to leadership . I know you work tirelessly on tackling the challenges humanity is facing . And on this particular issue , I want to highlight that we fully share your concern about Ukraine and the crimes and terrorism happening in the Middle East . I also wanted to let you know that when our Israeli colleague visited in December , we offered our ministry ' s support to be part of the solution . Even though we are not directly involved in that area , we believe Peru can play a role in support and facilitation . I want you to know that directly . There are other concerns too . I mentioned to you in San Francisco what ' s happening in Venezuela . I shared this concern at ECLAC , the organization created without the United States . I specifically told Brazil ' s Foreign Minister Mauro , our friend , that they needed to be part of the solution too . We don ' t want countries in the region to act against democracy . I know the press is here , but I speak the same way privately as I do publicly . That ' s how this friendly foreign minister behaves . Thanks , everyone .
