Two top Pentagon officials , Young Bang and Paul W . Farnan , visited Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey to learn about the Army ' s priorities and initiatives . They were briefed by Maj . Gen . John T . Reim and other officials before going on a tour of the facility . The visitors saw demonstrations of military technologies and equipment , including a live fire demonstration . After their visit , Bang expressed excitement about the team ' s efforts in maintaining the Arsenal of Democracy . Bang , as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Acquisition , Logistics , and Technology , plays a key role in advising Army leadership on acquisition matters . Picatinny Arsenal uses specialized facilities and performance measures to evaluate prototype designs and improve development processes .
