This is a part time position scheduled to work 3 consistent days per week.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide accurate, unbiased, non-coercive nursing care to all individuals, families, and community groups in a variety of public health nursing settings for Delta County Health Department.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform preliminary health assessments primarily in the subspecialty of reproductive and sexual health for scheduled, as well as walk-in, non-emergent clients.
Provide health promotion, education, counseling, and nursing clinics relating to various department and community health programs.
Dispense and administer prescription and non-prescription medications per department procedures and protocols.
Perform monthly inventory and quality control.
Investigate, assess and participate in maintaining and seeking funds for health care programs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Graduation from school accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Associate or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) preferred. 3-years of nursing experience in Public Health, home health, or community clinical setting; and one year experience in community agency collaboration and coordination. Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirements.
Minimum Required Skills, Ability, Licensing, Certification, Training, etc.:
Registered Nurse in Colorado or a compact state.
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
Valid Colorado State Drivers License
Hiring Salary Range:
$31.96 to $35.16 hourly

Paid time off is accrued at 14 hours per month with an additional 11 paid holidays in a calendar year.
