Part time position 20 hours per week – days and times may be flexible
Are you a highly skilled administrative professional looking to work part time supporting economic development in Delta County? Schedule can be three days in a row, afternoons or something to meet your needs. Assistance with events, meetings, and activities will be necessary with advance notice of any routine schedule changes.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The administrative assistant will perform routine and detailed administrative support functions to ensure efficient operation of One Delta County. Assistant will routinely communicate with and assist members of the public, coordinate with internal departments and external business partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in close coordination with strategic partners and community boards to carry out organizational initiatives.
Provide administrative and technical support for economic development programs and boards.
Work flexible hours to cover morning, evening, and occasional weekend events and meetings.
Serve as the first point of contact for employees and the public, respond to a wide variety of questions from department heads, employees, businesses, the public and customers regarding One Delta County and Delta County administration.
Mange coordination of scheduling, technology, decorating, catering and utilization of external and internal facilities as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Level I
High school graduate or equivalent; some college or certificate courses from an accredited college or professional program in business administration, finance, technology, marketing or a related field preferred
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
Level I
At least five (5) years’ experience in providing technical and administrative support with website maintenance desired
Level II
At least three (3) years’ progressively responsible experience in economic development, real estate, mortgage lending, community development, planning, commercial banking, housing, redevelopment and/or grant writing and administration
At least three (3) years demonstrated experience with website ad graphic design
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid State of Colorado Driver’s License
Hiring Salary Range:
$19.00 to $20.90 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
General Benefits:
Part time employees are eligible for elective employee paid insurance benefit policies including accidental injuries and death, intensive care, heart attacks, heart disease and strokes, and cancer policies. Employees can contribute to a 457 tax advantaged deferred-compensation retirement plan. Paid time off is accrued at 14 hours per month with an additional 11 paid holidays in a calendar year which are prorated according to the number of hours worked. Positions less than 20 hours per week do not qualify for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits. As an employee, additional employee discounts and fringe benefits are available.
