☷St Louis County Man Who Absconded From Federal Supervision Sentenced to 51 Months in Prison

A fentanyl dealer from Missouri got sentenced to 51 months in prison by Judge Sarah E . Pitlyk after he ran away from federal supervision . Theodise D . Perkins , who is 23 years old and from Florissant , MO , pleaded guilty to possessing fentanyl with the intention to distribute it . He was caught with a stolen . 45 - caliber pistol , 19 . 77 grams of fentanyl , and $1 , 004 during a traffic stop in St . Louis on March 4 , 2020 . The driver of the vehicle he was in led police on a long car chase , and Perkins tried to escape on foot but got arrested . After pleading guilty , he was allowed to stay out on bond but betrayed that trust by running away and not showing up for his sentencing hearing . He was arrested on June 27 , 2023 , and has been in jail since then . The recommended sentencing guidelines for Perkins were 21 months longer because he fled supervision . The case was investigated by the St . Louis Metropolitan Police Department , the St . Louis County Police Department , the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives ( ATF ) , and the Missouri Department of Public Safety . Assistant U . S . Attorney Zachary Bluestone handled the prosecution .
