   Hey , so the U . S . Department of Labor just got back $108 , 000 in back wages , damages , and penalties for restaurant workers in Oklahoma . Turns out Boom - a - Rang Diner wasn ' t paying overtime to its employees . The investigation covered 53 locations in Oklahoma , and they found that the diner wasn ' t including monthly performance bonuses for non - exempt managerial staff when calculating overtime pay . In total , they had to pay $54 , 423 in back wages and $54 , 423 in damages to 107 employees . The director of the Wage and Hour Division in Oklahoma City reminded restaurant employers to make sure their workers get all the pay they deserve , including overtime .
