General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc . , based in Poway , California , has received a $31 , 003 , 429 contract to provide non - recurring engineering services for the installation , integration , systems test and evaluation , calibration , and logistics of electronic warfare pods for the Marine Corps . This work will be done in Poway , California ( 45% ) , Patuxent River , Maryland ( 45% ) , and Greenville , Texas ( 10% ) , and is expected to be completed by July 2025 . The funding for this project includes $13 , 400 , 000 from fiscal year 2024 research , development , test and evaluation ( Navy ) funds , and $9 , 858 , 485 from fiscal year 2023 research , development , test and evaluation ( Navy ) funds . The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River , Maryland , is managing the contract . The Boeing Co . , based in St . Louis , Missouri , has been awarded a $86 , 427 , 453 contract to design , develop , and produce two prototypes of the Operational Test Program Sets and special test equipment for the AN/ASG - 34A ( V ) 1 Infrared Search and Track System . This system will be used for field testing by the Navy and the government of Australia . The work is expected to be completed by February 2029 in St . Louis , Missouri .
