AI Safety Institute Consortium ( AISIC ) will bring together over 200 leading AI experts and stakeholders to promote the development and use of safe and trustworthy AI . AI Safety Institute ( USAISI ) , will support President Biden ' s Executive Order by creating guidelines for red - teaming , risk management , safety , security , and synthetic content . Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo emphasized the government ' s role in setting standards and protecting innovation , and the consortium will help achieve these goals . The White House Deputy Chief of Staff , Bruce Reed , also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government , private sector , and academia to harness the potential of AI while managing its risks . The consortium includes a diverse range of member companies and organizations , including those at the forefront of AI development , civil society and academic teams , and professionals currently using AI . This consortium is the largest of its kind and will focus on establishing a new measurement science for AI safety .
