A guy from Cape Cod who had been previously convicted for selling heroin got sentenced today in federal court in Boston for having a loaded "ghost" gun . He was actually on federal supervised release when he got arrested . Krymeii Fray , a 28 - year - old guy from Hyannis , got sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release by U . S . District Court Judge Allison D . Burroughs . In October 2023 , Fray admitted to being a felon in possession of ammunition . On March 24 , 2023 , at 2:15 a . m . , Fray ' s car got pulled over on Blue Hill Avenue in Boston by local cops . They searched the car and found a Polymer 80 9mm firearm , which is commonly called a "ghost" or kit firearm , loaded with seven rounds of ammo under Fray ' s seat . They also found a live round of ammo near the gun and a spent shell casing in the trunk . Fray got arrested right then and there . And just so you know , Fray was already on supervised release from a previous federal conviction for conspiring to distribute heroin . Today , Acting United States Attorney Joshua S . Levy , Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms & Explosives James M . Ferguson , and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox made the announcement . The case was prosecuted by Assistant U . S . Attorneys Christopher J . Pohl and Lauren A . Graber from the Criminal Division .
