☷Washington Parish Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Narcotics and Firearm Charges

   In New Orleans , a 22 - year - old named Tylar Redditt from Bogalusa has admitted guilt to breaking federal gun and drug laws , according to U . S . Attorney Duane A . Evans . Court records show that Redditt was involved in distributing heroin and using firearms for his drug trafficking . If convicted , he could face up to 20 years in prison , three years of supervised release , and a $100 special assessment fee . He may also be fined up to $1 , 000 , 000 for the drug violation and up to $250 , 000 for the gun violation . Agents found several social media pictures of Redditt with guns , drugs , and money . He was also involved in a non - fatal shooting in retaliation for a local rapper ' s murder . This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods , a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence and making neighborhoods safer . The investigation involved the federal Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives , the Washington Parish Sheriff ' s Office , and the Bogalusa Police Department . Assistant U . S . Attorney Maurice E . Landrieu , Jr is handling the prosecution for the Narcotics Unit .
