Eleven members of a Jersey City gang connected to the Marion Gardens Housing Complex were indicted today for their involvement in a violent racketeering conspiracy and drug trafficking conspiracy , according to U . S . Attorney Philip R . Sellinger . The indictment names individuals such as Myron Williams , Khalil Kelley , Herbert Thomas , Roger Pickett , Andre Alomar , Anthony Rogers , Naim Richardson , Quaseame Wilson , Javon Williams , Jawaad Davis , and Keith Anderson . Local law enforcement agencies and federal partners are collaborating to ensure the safety of the community and hold these offenders accountable . The gang members have been involved in several violent acts , including three murders that occurred in March 2021 , November 2021 , and November 2022 . In June 2021 , eight other members and associates of the Marion Gardens neighborhood gang were indicted on charges related to racketeering , violent crimes , drug trafficking , and firearms offenses . U . S . Attorney Sellinger praised the Gang Intelligence Unit of the Major Case Division of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office , as well as the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives , and the Jersey City Police Department for their assistance in the investigation . This investigation was carried out as part of the Jersey City Violent Crime Initiative ( VCI ) , which was established in 2018 by the U . S . Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey , the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office , and the Jersey City Police Department to combat violent crime in and around Jersey City . The VCI brings together federal , state , county , and city agencies to prioritize the prosecution of violent offenders who put the community ' s safety at risk . The VCI includes the U . S . Attorney’s Office , the FBI , the ATF , the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division , the U . S . Marshals , the Jersey City Police Department , the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office , the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office , New Jersey State Parole , the Hudson County Jail , and the New Jersey State Police Regional Operations and Intelligence Center/Real Time Crime Center . This is known as the Marion Gardens Indictment .
