The US Department of Labor has managed to get back $184 , 139 in unpaid wages and damages for 56 workers who were not properly paid by Sails Restaurant LLC in Naples . The restaurant was found to have violated various federal regulations regarding work programs and minimum wage laws . They misrepresented job requirements and denied certain workers access to higher - paying positions . They also failed to give proper notices and reimburse visa expenses for some workers . The department has imposed civil money penalties of $53 , 536 . The restaurant also illegally kept some workers ' tips and failed to pay one worker their last paycheck . The department will be hosting a webinar to educate employers in the hospitality industry about the Fair Labor Standards Act and H - 2B provisions .
