Two guys from Cincinnati pleaded guilty in federal court to having Glock switches , which are these devices that turn regular guns into machine guns . Basically , these guns can fire a bunch of shots without having to reload . One dude named Ronnell Aaron Clay , who ' s 21 , admitted to illegally having a machine gun . The other guy , Taviyon Broussard , who ' s 20 , pleaded guilty to the same thing on January 5th . Court documents say that Clay got pulled over by the cops on August 22 , 2023 , because he was driving like a maniac . When they searched his car , they found a Glock pistol with missing parts and some crack cocaine . Then , another officer found a gold Glock switch during a search of the car . Turns out , Clay was using his Instagram to sell these switches in the Cincinnati area . As for Broussard , his court documents say that he had a modified gun on November 8 , 2022 , that was made from a 3D - printed Glock conversion device . Having a fully automatic weapon is a big no - no and can get you up to 10 years in prison . The Court will decide their sentences later on , taking into account some guidelines and other factors . The U . S . Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio , Kenneth L . Parker , and some other law enforcement peeps announced the guilty pleas . The United States is being represented by Assistant U . S . Attorney Ryan A . Keefe in these cases , and Assistant U . S . Attorney Ashley N . Brucato handled the case against Broussard .
