☷Louisiana National Guard Conducts Premobilization Training

Around 85 Soldiers from the Headquarters and Headquarters Company , 139th Regional Support Group , recently completed their annual premobilization training from March 2 - 16 in Pineville , Louisiana . The two - week training at the Louisiana National Guard Training Center focused on enhancing the Soldiers’ skills and readiness while identifying any gaps or deficiencies . According to Command Sgt . Maj . Donald G . Lavalais , the preparation period is essential for building camaraderie among the Soldiers and ensuring everyone is on the same page before deployment . The Louisiana National Guard conducts pre - mobilization Annual Trainings ( ATs ) to address and resolve any issues before moving to their mobilization site or forward deployment location . This year ' s training included various activities such as the Army Combat Fitness Test , weapons qualification , and battle drills . The Soldiers also participated in a staff exercise simulating scenarios they may encounter while deployed . One Soldier , Spc . Kylie E . Leday , shared that the hands - on training allowed her to gain more clarity on what a typical workday will look like during mobilization . Leday , who will be serving as the acting religious affairs specialist for the 139th , will be deploying for the first time to Europe to support the European Assure , Deter and Reinforce mission this spring .
