Moody , Jr . on Wednesday , March 20 . Chambers , 32 , of Cedar Hill , Texas , was found guilty of being a felon in possession of ammunition after shooting his former girlfriend and firing rounds into an apartment . The collaboration of federal , state , and local partners is crucial in ensuring the safety of our communities through the prosecution of violent offenders . Judge Moody determined that Chambers qualified as an Armed Career Criminal and sentenced him to 30 years in prison with five years of supervised release . There is no parole in the federal system .
