Airmen from the 168th Wing recently took part in a shoot , move , and communicate course at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska . The course focused on refining tactics for potential future conflicts and involved training with the 168th Security Forces Squadron to learn their tactics and techniques . The goal was to prepare the Airmen for combat situations and provide them with the skills to defend themselves and their assets in a forward - deployed location if necessary . The course involved realistic scenarios and taught small unit tactics , including moving towards an enemy , using cover , communicating with teammates , and accurate firing . Overall , the training aimed to equip the Airmen with the knowledge and skills to operate effectively in austere environments and be prepared for any potential combat situations . It ' s important for them to know so they can come back home safe . The 168th Wing is always adapting to new warfighting tactics through challenging exercises . Staff Sgt . Hannah Moore from the 168th Maintenance Group found the training useful for improving their skills in case of emergencies .
