Bill Johnson , the chief of the Personal Property Processing Office at Logistics Readiness Center Stuttgart , is keeping a close eye on Trey Bailey , a transportation assistant , as they help a Navy captain with their household goods shipment planning . Johnson mentioned that peak permanent change of duty station season is around the corner and things are about to get really hectic . Johnson has been working in transportation for 13 years and has become a top expert in the field , assisting service members and their families with their personal property shipments . He has worked at various locations in the U . S . and Germany since starting in transportation in 2011 . Johnson mentioned that the PPPO at LRC Stuttgart supports multiple units and organizations in the community and is gearing up for the busy PCS season ahead . Despite being short - staffed , Johnson is working on bringing in new personnel to fill vacant positions , but it takes time to get them fully trained and ready to support the community . He also mentioned that he will be losing one employee to another job and another is going on maternity leave soon . I ' ll only have two employees on my team in four weeks , but I ' ve got a plan . I ' ve asked for help from the PPPO teams at other LRCs , and they ' re all willing to pitch in . We ' re still figuring out the details , but we ' re working on it . Our job is to help service members and their families with their household goods and baggage when they move to or from USAG Stuttgart . LRC Stuttgart is part of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade and provides various logistics services to the community . We ' re here to support our service members during their PCS moves and make things easier for them . LRC Stuttgart coordinates with USAG Stuttgart and reports to the 405th AFSB , which is part of the U . S . Army Sustainment Command . They provide logistics support to U . S . Forces in Europe and Africa . For more information , check out the official website and Facebook page of the 405th AFSB .
