☷Convicted Felon Pleads Guilty to Trafficking Firearms from Alabama into Massachusetts

A guy from Boston admitted in court today that he illegally brought a bunch of guns from Alabama to Massachusetts . His name is Jahquel Pringle , and he pleaded guilty to a bunch of charges , like transporting guns illegally and being a felon in possession of a firearm . The judge set his sentencing for June 6 . Pringle was indicted along with three other people - Brandon Moore , Jarmori Brown , and Kobe Smith . They all worked together to get at least 24 guns from Alabama and bring them to Boston . Pringle made two trips on a bus to Alabama and back , hiding the guns in his luggage . Some of the guns were later found on the streets of Boston . There ' s even a video of Pringle firing one of the guns in Alabama . He ' s not supposed to have guns because of a previous felony conviction . Brown already got sentenced to 18 months in prison for his part in the scheme , and Moore pleaded guilty and got transferred to Alabama . Smith is still in custody , waiting for his trial . If Pringle gets convicted , he could face up to 10 years in prison . The case is being handled by the Major Crimes Unit as part of a program called Project Safe Neighborhoods , which aims to reduce gun violence and make our neighborhoods safer . Hey , so the Department of Justice kicked off this new plan on May 26 , 2021 to reduce violent crime . They ' re focusing on building trust in communities , supporting organizations that prevent violence , setting enforcement priorities , and measuring the results . Just a heads up , the info in the charging documents is just allegations . The defendant is innocent until proven guilty in court .
