Raytheon Missiles and Defense in Marlborough , Massachusetts , was awarded a $38 . 1 million order for AEGIS modernization kits for Navy guided - missile destroyers and allied nations . The work will be done in Andover , Chesapeake , Marlborough , and Burlington , with completion expected by February 2028 . This contract includes purchases for the U . S . Navy , Japan , and Australia under the Foreign Military Sales program . W&K Containers Inc . in Mill Valley , California , has been awarded a contract worth up to $7 , 669 , 000 for commercial shipping and storage containers . This was a competitive acquisition with five responses received . The contract has a duration of 270 days without any option periods . The performance will take place in South Korea , with a performance completion date of November 16 , 2024 . The Army will be the military service utilizing this contract , which will be funded by fiscal 2023 Army operations and maintenance funds . The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ( SPE8ED - 24 - C - 0004 ) . In Fiscal 2024 , the Navy will allocate $32 , 398 , 008 ( 85% ) for procurement , with an additional $3 , 971 , 738 ( 10% ) from defense - wide procurement funds in Fiscal 2023 , $980 , 290 ( 3% ) from defense - wide procurement funds in Fiscal 2024 , $533 , 086 ( 1% ) from FMS Japan funds , and $268 , 739 ( 1% ) from FMS Australia funds . These funds will be used upon award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year . This contract was not competitively procured as only one source was identified to meet agency requirements . The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington D . The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded a contract to National Industries for the Blind in Alexandria , Virginia , for innerspring mattresses . The contract has a maximum value of $46 , 578 , 579 and a two - year duration without any option periods . The performance will take place in North Carolina , with an ordering period end date of February 19 , 2026 . The Navy will be the military service utilizing this contract , which will be funded by fiscal 2024 through 2026 defense working capital funds . The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ( SPE1C1 - 24 - D - B009 ) . Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Moorestown , New Jersey , has been awarded a contract modification under the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense ( BMD ) Weapon Systems contract HQ085121C0002 . This modification will adjust the funding ceiling for AEGIS BMD 4 . 2 and establish new contract lines for the development of AEGIS BMD 4 . 1 . 3 . The total value of the modification is $33 , 926 , 020 for reductions in AEGIS BMD 4 . 2 and $59 , 148 , 023 ( inclusive of options ) for AEGIS BMD 4 . 1 . 3 , covering capability upgrades , ship planning and installs , and program management support . The work will be performed in Moorestown , New Jersey , with a performance period extending until September 2026 . We ' re making some changes to the funding for research , development , and procurement in the next few years . The total cost of the contract is going up by over $11 million . In other news , Criterion Corp . LLC has been awarded a contract for base operations and support services at Youngstown Air Reserve Station . Logos Technologies LLC also received a contract for surveillance and detection services . ASM Research LLC got a contract for support services for the Army Training Requirements and Resources System .
