Job Title: INSTRUCTOR Part Time Temporary
Department: ADULT EDUCATION
Salary: $20.00 per hour

Summary of Duties:
To teach GED/ABE (reading, writing, and math). The ABE program is available to learners who have not completed high school, are not enrolled in a secondary program, and whose educational skill levels range from beginning literacy through 8th grade. The instructional program is focused on fundamental reading, writing, and math skills. The GED preparation program is designed for learners who have not completed high school, who are not enrolled in a secondary program, and whose educational skill levels range from 9th through 12th grade. These classes provide instruction in higher-order thinking skill in the five content areas of the GED test and leads to a transition to post-secondary education and/or training opportunities.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and the ability to obtain an Arizona Adult Education Certification prior to or within 60 days of hire. This requires a four-year degree and fingerprint clearance.

Previous teaching experience and bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
