The US Department of Labor wants to stop an Evansville restaurant owner from intimidating workers and withholding their back pay . They have requested a restraining order and are also seeking $450K in back wages and damages . The owner , Bardhyl Shabani , is accused of violating labor laws and retaliating against employees . The Department of Labor is determined to protect workers and ensure they receive their rightful wages . The employer was found to be not keeping accurate payroll records and sharing tips in violation of federal wage laws . District Director Aaron Loomis mentioned that similar violations were found in a previous case in Wisconsin . Employers who violate federal wage laws will be held accountable for paying their workers all the wages they have earned . The case is being handled by attorney Haley R . Jenkins .
