   The Department of Labor has settled a case against a Pennsylvania company , Regal Industrial Corp . , regarding safety violations at their Millville site in South Jersey . The settlement confirms that the company has been cited for 17 violations of federal workplace safety standards , including four willful , 11 serious , and two other - than - serious citations . The proposed penalty is $299 , 000 . The citations were issued after an investigation that began on April 18 , 2022 , in response to a complaint . The company was found to have failed in various areas , such as training employees on respirator use , maintaining safety data sheets , providing fall protection and machine guarding , and ensuring safe use of electricity . As part of the settlement , Regal Industrial Corp . must take enhanced measures to improve compliance , including establishing a safety and health management program , consulting with workers , identifying and documenting hazards , and providing education and training to workers . This settlement highlights the importance of enforcement and litigation efforts by OSHA and the Department of Labor ' s Office of the Solicitor in ensuring workplace safety . Regal Industrial Corp . , founded in 1974 , specializes in abrasive blasting , metallizing , and coating applications for steel and concrete structures .
