☷Two Philadelphia Men Plead Guilty to 2022 Crime Spree Admitting to Seven Armed Robberies and a Carjacking in 12 Days

In Philadelphia , Angel Fayez , 19 , and Kevin Antun , also known as Acquah Evans , 20 , pleaded guilty today to charges of carjacking , robbery , and using a firearm during a violent crime . They were indicted in March 2023 for a series of armed robberies in the Kensington and Lower Northeast areas of the city . The incidents included a carjacking and robberies of various small businesses , resulting in a total theft of around $3 , 613 between November 22 and December 3 , 2022 . These individuals showed a complete disregard for public safety and their actions put the community at risk . The collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies were instrumental in bringing them to justice and addressing the issue of carjackings and gun violence in Philadelphia . We ' re gonna keep going after those who terrorize our neighborhoods and make sure they get the full force of the law . Fayez is gonna be sentenced on May 29 , 2024 , and Antun on May 30 , 2024 , by Judge Juan R . Sanchez . This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods ( PSN ) , a program that brings together law enforcement and communities to make our neighborhoods safer . The Department of Justice started up PSN again in 2017 to target violent criminals and get all U . S . Attorney ' s Offices working with local law enforcement and communities to reduce violent crime . ATFs and the Philadelphia Police Department investigated this case and it ' s being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert E . Eckert and Special Assistant United States Attorney David Osborne .
