☷Two Minneapolis Men Sentenced for Trafficking Narcotics Between California and Minnesota

Two guys got sentenced to prison for having fentanyl and cocaine with the intention of selling it . U . S . Attorney Andrew M . Luger made the announcement . According to their plea agreements and court documents , Cortez Ananias Williams , who ' s 24 , and his cousin Savontray Orlando Dwayne Collins , who ' s 23 , were trafficking drugs between California and Minnesota since at least January 2023 . On Feb . 13 , the cops caught them on I - 35 near the Minnesota - Iowa border with 4 . 4 kilograms of "M30" fentanyl pills and almost one kilogram of cocaine . Williams pleaded guilty to drug possession and got 135 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release . Collins pleaded guilty to drug possession and was sentenced to 120 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release . The Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives ( ATF ) , the Minnesota State Patrol , and the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force worked together on this investigation . Assistant U . S . Attorney Ruth Shnider handled the prosecution .
