☷St Paul Felon Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

A guy from St . Paul got 70 months in jail and three years of supervision for having a gun while being a felon , announced U . S . Attorney Andrew M . Luger . According to official papers , on July 15 , 2021 , cops in St . Paul went to a call about gunshots near Rice and Winnipeg Streets . That same night , law enforcement found surveillance footage of the shooting and recognized Ember Shawndale White , 23 , holding a gun and running away from the scene and getting into a white Volkswagen Jetta . On July 23 , 2021 , the cops arrested White in the same Jetta , and he had a Beretta APX 9x19mm pistol on him . Since White has been convicted of felonies in Ramsey , Hennepin , and Dakota Counties before , he ' s not allowed to have guns or ammo according to federal law . White pleaded guilty on Nov . 13 , 2023 , to having a gun as a felon . Judge Joan N . Ericksen sentenced him today in U . S . District Court . This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives ( ATF ) and the St . Paul Police Department . Assistant U . S . Attorney Matthew S . Ebert handled the prosecution .
