☷Toledo Man Sentenced to Decade in Prison for Armed Robbery in Columbus During Which He Shot a Victim

A guy named Juarvez Reemos Juan Whitfield - Neeley , who ' s 25 and from Toledo , got slapped with a 121 - month prison sentence for armed robbery . This dude shot three people in two separate robberies back in March 2020 . U . S . Attorney Kenneth L . Parker said , "For a few bucks , Whitfield - Neeley messed up three people ' s lives with his gun . These federal cases against him should be a wake - up call that it ' s not worth it , and you ' ll end up doing time . " During a robbery at the Berkeley & Main Market in Columbus , he shot the store clerk in the knee and then grabbed the dude ' s gun and bounced . Two weeks later in Toledo , Whitfield - Neeley pulled out the stolen gun and shot two clerks in a corner store . He grabbed another gun from one of the injured clerks and took off with the cash from the register . This dude got charged in June 2020 for the Columbus robbery and shooting and later got caught in the Northern District of Ohio . He pleaded guilty to the Toledo robbery and got sentenced to 207 months in prison . So now he ' s gotta serve his time for the Southern District of Ohio on top of that . U . S . District Court Judge Edmund A . Sargus , Jr . handed down the sentence . U . S . Attorney Kenneth L . Parker , Special Agent in Charge Daryl S . McCormick , and Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant announced the sentence . Assistant U . S . Attorneys David J . Twombly and Elizabeth A . Geraghty are handling the case for the United States .
