   CHESTERFIELD COUNTY , VA –Chesterfield County Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Brandermill Parkway near the intersection of Barnes Spring Road at about 12:13 a . m . on December 30 , 2023 .
   Police said a 2016 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north when it left the roadway and struck a tree .  A passenger was pronounced deceased on scene .  The remaining occupants were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries that are not considered life - threatening .  The identity of the deceased is being withheld as police continue their investigation .
