A dude named Jordan C . Soileau , who lives in Lake Charles , just got sentenced to 110 months in prison by Judge James D . Cain , Jr . for having guns and ammo as a felon and also for having an unregistered silencer . He ' ll also have to deal with three years of supervised release . On April 9 , 2022 , the Lake Charles Police Department got a complaint about Soileau ' s place . The complaint said that he attacked a woman , making her pass out . After watching a video of the attack , the officers confirmed that Soileau was the one responsible . In the video , he punched the woman , making her unconscious , and then threw her to the ground . He continued to kick and hit her while smashing her phone . The investigation showed that the woman lived with Soileau and was taken back to their place after the attack . The cops went to Soileau ' s place to check out the abuse , make sure the victim was safe , and take her away . When they got there , they saw a bunch of guns just lying around while they were holding Soileau . Because of that , they got a warrant to search Soileau ' s property , including his house and cars . The search ended up finding nine guns , one of which was an Anderson Manufacturing , Model AM - 15 semi - automatic rifle with what looked like a silencer and a device that turned it into a machine gun . They also took a bunch of different kinds of ammo and big magazines . The investigation also found out that Soileau had recently shot one of the guns in his house . The Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms , and Explosives ( ATF ) did some more analysis on the firearms . They confirmed that the AM - 15 was basically a machine gun and that the silencer and conversion device weren ' t registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record . Soileau already had a felony conviction for simple burglary in Calcasieu Parish and knew he wasn ' t supposed to have any guns or ammo . The evidence against Soileau let Judge Cain give a sentence outside of the usual guidelines . The ATF and Lake Charles Police Department looked into the case , and Assistant U . S . Attorney Danny Siefker was the one prosecuting it .
