   The FBI Charlotte Field Office and the Charlotte - Mecklenburg Police Department ( CMPD ) are hosting a recruitment event for women in law enforcement . Join us on April 13 , 2024 , at the Charlotte - Mecklenburg Police and Fire Training Academy at 1770 Shopton Road in Charlotte , North Carolina . This three - hour event will be super interactive . If you come , you ' ll get to chat one - on - one with women who work in different positions , both sworn and non - sworn . Here ' s the schedule: from 9 a . m . to 10 a . m . , you can hang out and register if you want . Then , from 10 a . m . to 11 a . m . , there will be a panel discussion in the auditorium with women from both agencies . You can ask them anything you want . Finally , from 11 a . m . to 12 p . m . , you can talk to recruiters , agents , detectives , supervisors , and other staff members . You ' ll also get to see cool demonstrations from different units , like the FBI Evidence Response Team , SWAT , and CMPD crime scene technicians . We want to make sure our law enforcement reflects the people we serve . The more diverse our workforce , the better we can protect our community .
