June is National Homeownership Month , to celebrate the City of Wilmington Community Development and Housing Department ( CDAH ) will be hosting a series of webinars every Tuesday and Thursday , 12pm - 1pm . Topics include The Pre - qualification Process , Credit , Insurance and etc . The webinars are free , however , registration is required . The link to register is:

Also , join us on June 25th at the MLK Center , 401 S . 8th Street for an Affordable Lending Fair , 11am - 2pm . Come talk to lenders about their affordable loan programs , see which one is right for you and your family!
In case you didn’t know , CDAH has an affordable mortgage loan product ( Home Ownership Pool , HOP ) for anyone interested in purchasing a home within the city limits of Wilmington . HOP offers up to $25 , 000 in down payment assistance and a portion of the loan is priced at 0% interest . This loan product is available to individuals and families with income up to 130% of Area Median Income , ex: a family of 4 can qualify for some benefit with household income up to $106 , 990 .
