City of Wilmington North Carolina - Althea Gibson Tennis Complex Reconstruction Project Now Complete 23 February 2024 ( news )

   Tennis courts 1 - 8 at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex ( AGTC ) reopened fully on Thursday February 22
   ndafter a 7 - month closure to reconstruct the courts .
   The project consisted of demolishing the original 8 tennis courts at the facility and reconstructing the courts to also include new fencing , nets , additional sidewalk connections and seating .

   The courts are open sunrise to 11:00 pm .
