☷ Henderson Nevada - CITY OF HENDERSON TERMINATES STATE OF EMERGENCY 23 May 2022

   HENDERSON , Nev . ( May 20 , 2022 ) – The City of Henderson today announced the termination of its State of Emergency , first issued on March 15 , 2020 , at the onset of the COVID - 19 pandemic .
   “The City of Henderson continues to make strides in its recovery thanks to the resiliency of our community and the foresight of our City’s strategic plan , ” said Henderson City Manager Richard Derrick . “I want to thank our businesses and residents for their tenacity during this difficult time and our Mayor and Council for their steadfast leadership and unwavering support . ”
   The effects of the pandemic that initiated the City of Henderson’s State of Emergency have subsided at this time , allowing the City to terminate the order .
   “Our City’s emergency preparedness plan enabled us to respond successfully to the COVID - 19 pandemic , ” said Ryan Turner , Emergency Management Division Head for the City of Henderson . “Our emergency management team is committed to ensuring proper emergency response through continued training and extensive scenario - based drills . ”
   The State of Nevada’s March 12 , 2020 , Declaration of Emergency was terminated today by Governor Steve Sisolak .
