HENDERSON , Nev . ( March 6 , 2024 ) – The City of Henderson is proud to host the 2024 Hercules Tires Big West Basketball Championships for the third year at The Dollar Loan Center . Action takes place Wednesday , March 13 through Saturday , March 16 .
The top eight men’s and women’s teams from the Big West will compete , with the winners earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament . Parking is free for all attendees .
“We are thrilled to kick off March Madness and welcome the Big West Basketball Championships back to Henderson for the third year , ” said Mayor Michelle Romero . “There’s nothing like the energy and excitement of college sports and The Dollar Loan Center is a fantastic venue for tournaments like this . We are excited to showcase all that Henderson has to offer to conference players and fans and invite everyone to join us for the best of college basketball!”
The Big West Basketball Championships in 2022 was the first - ever sporting event inside The Dollar Loan Center , and the event returns for the third time . Since its inception , the Dollar Loan Center has become the home to four professional sports teams: the Henderson Silver Knights , Vegas Knight Hawks , NBA G - League Ignite , and the newly formed Vegas Thrill , competing in their inaugural season .
“The Big West is excited to bring two NCAA Division I basketball championships back to Henderson on March 13 - 16 , 2024 , ” said Big West Commissioner Dan Butterly . “The City of Henderson and our partners at the Foley Entertainment Group have championed our event since we were the first ticketed event in The Dollar Loan Center back in 2022 . Our coaches , players , administrators and fans have all enjoyed the remarkable hospitality and first class amenities Henderson has to offer . So much so , that we have committed to staging Henderson’s only Division I basketball championship at The Dollar Loan Center through 2027 . ”
