Henderson , Nev . – ( March 11 , 2024 ) The City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is resuming normal operations beginning Tuesday , March 12th , 2024 .   Included in the dogs that are currently at the shelter , about 25% of the dogs that were quarantined will also be available for adoption .  
   There are still around 60 dogs who are under quarantine for both exposure and positive tests . Testing is being completed weekly , and all involved are working extremely hard to care for and assist these dogs back to health .  
   We encourage people to visit the shelter and adopt a forever friend .  
   The City of Henderson is committed to ensuring the safety and well - being of its animals .   We are grateful for our dedicated Animal Care and Control staff and volunteers , who are working around the clock to provide premier care to our animals .
