Role Overview
The Orange County Commissioner of the Revenue seeks a highly organized and efficient part-time temporary Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support and perform a variety of tasks. This position is temporary for 10-20 hours a week for 20 weeks.
Role Description
Communication and Correspondence:
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and written inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintain accurate records of communication and follow-up as needed.
Administrative Support:
Receive and prepare a variety of citizen applications.
Maintain filing systems and ensure documents are readily accessible.
Perform data entry.
Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Technology:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one year of administrative or customer service experience, preferably in government.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in typing and using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
