The Town of Southampton is hiring a Full Time Therapeutic Activities Worker in our Senior Services Department.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assists the Adult Day Care program with recreational activities for the senior citizens with Alzheimer’s;
-Assists the Adult Day Care program with games and crafts; sets up work area with necessary tools
and supplies; cleans up work area after completion;
-At the Adult Day Program Supervisor’s request, picks up supplies when needed; transports clients
to different places as needed; delivers paperwork if needed;
-Encourages, attempts to motivate, and uses patience with the senior citizens; does what is necessary to
make the time spent at the Adult Day Care productive and enjoyable for the clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
At the time of appointment, and during employment in this title, employees will be required to possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State. The type of license required will be determined by the appointing authority with respect to the type of vehicle to be operated.
Annual salary-$48,166 plus full benefits package
