The Town is accepting applications for an Environmental Analyst position.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Evaluates environmental impacts of development and other activities affecting wetlands and other natural resources; prepares written reports and recommendations advising Town Conservation Board, as well as other boards and departments, on the environmental impacts of regulatory actions or decisions being considered; Investigates and analyzes environmental violations and prepares affidavits and recommendations for corrective actions and resolution; Analyzes inventories of natural resources, including delineation and mapping of wetlands, dunes, endangered species, flora and fauna; Acts as liaison between Town and other environmental governmental agencies; Attends federal, state, county and local agency, department, and board meetings, as well as public interest group and community group meetings, on behalf of the Chief Environmental Analyst, as required. Drafts environmental ordinances; Prepares reports and makes recommendations, resulting from field work or special projects, to Chief Environmental Analyst;
The minimum qualifications for this position are: Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, one of the natural or physical sciences, environmental studies or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in environmental protection activities.
The annual salary is $71,683.20
