The popular Sounds of Lewisville concert series , presented by Mosquito Joe , a free family favorite since 1991 , returns this year with nine shows in Wayne Ferguson Plaza , and is moving to a May - June schedule to beat the summer heat and provide a more enjoyable experience for the musicians and attendees .
   Concerts start at 7 p . m . every Tuesday night in May and June . Opening acts will perform 7 - 7:45 p . m . ; headliners will perform 8 - 9:30 p . m . Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort . Well - behaved pets on a leash are allowed at the shows . Food and beverages will be available for purchase .
   The series kicks off May 7 with The Elton Johns , the 2023 People’s Choice Award winner presented by Blackall Photography . Returning acts include Purple Day ( May 14 ) , Havana NRG! ( May 28 ) , Just Like P!nk ( June 4 ) , and Bidi Bidi Banda ( June 25 ) .
   The series concludes with the DCTA A - train Red White & Lewisville , presented by CoServ , on Tuesday , July 2 , featuring headliner ESCAPE – the Journey tribute band , This show will begin at 6 p . m .
   A low - level fireworks show will take place following this concert . The fireworks will be launched from the roof of the Lewisville Grand Theater in Old Town .
