☷Five Time Convicted Felon Indicted on Firearm and Drug Charges

Hey , check it out! U . S . Attorney Roger B . Handberg just announced that Reginald Dugger from Orlando has been indicted . They ' re charging him with trying to possess drugs with the intent to distribute and also being in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon . If he ' s found guilty , Dugger could be looking at a max of 30 years in the slammer for the drug offense and up to 15 years for the firearm offense . Oh , and the U . S . plans to take away the guns and ammo involved in the crimes . According to the indictment , on February 29 , Dugger tried to get his hands on some N , N - Dimethylpentylone , which is a Schedule I controlled substance . They ' re also saying that he had a Rock Island Armory revolver and a Palmetto State Armory rifle , even though he knew he wasn ' t supposed to have firearms as a convicted felon . This investigation was done by Homeland Security Investigations ( HSI ) , with some help from the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives . Assistant U . S . Attorney Noah P . Dorman is gonna handle the prosecution . Just so you know , this case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods ( PSN ) , which is a program that brings law enforcement and communities together to make our neighborhoods safer and reduce violent crime and gun violence . The Department of Justice even launched a new strategy for PSN on May 26 , 2021 , to make it even stronger . Their plan includes building trust in the community , supporting organizations that work to prevent violence , setting clear enforcement priorities , and keeping track of the results .
