Campbell , who goes by the stage name "Gizwop , " is associated with a violent group known as the Fox 5 Gang . Along with his prison term , he has also been ordered to serve three years of supervised release by U . S . District Court Judge Christopher R . Cooper . Russell Campbell , a 21 - year - old rapper from Washington , has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after being caught with a Glock firearm and an AK - style pistol during a routine traffic stop by the U . S . Secret Service . The sentencing was announced by various law enforcement officials , including U . S . Attorney Matthew M . Graves and FBI Special Agent in Charge David J . Scott . Overall , Campbell ' s actions and repeated offenses have resulted in his prison sentence and continued legal consequences . Campbell pleaded guilty to two charges – unlawful possession of a firearm while under indictment and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person convicted of a felony . The evidence presented by the government showed that Campbell was previously charged with carrying a pistol without a license and was found armed with a loaded Glock 45 during a separate incident . Despite being prohibited from possessing firearms due to his status as a felon , Campbell was discovered in a vehicle containing five firearms , including the AK - style pistol linked to him forensically . This occurred after he had left a club with four others , leading to a traffic stop by the U . S . Secret Service on 7th Street , NW . In the backpack , there was a Zastava AK - Style gun with a big magazine carrying thirty live . 556 caliber bullets and one bullet was ready to go in the chamber . Campbell ' s DNA was found on the gun and magazine . The MPD looked into this case and it was handled by Assistant U . S . Attorney Sitara Witanachchi from the Violence Reduction and Trafficking Offenses Section in the U . S . Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia , with some help from former Assistant U . S . Attorney Andy Wang .
