On January 23 , Maj . John Greenman gave a detailed briefing to Col . Anthony Rogers and members of the Army Contracting Command Operations Directorate at Fort Shafter , Hawaii . Greenman , a contracting officer with the 413th Contracting Support Brigade , was discussing the External Evaluation 2 . 0 on the brigade . The evaluation , which concluded on January 24 , assessed the brigade ' s ability to provide support in the Indo - Pacific region . It tested their training proficiency , command and control , communications , movement , and operations in a simulated environment . The evaluation also looked at how contracting support brigades and battalions set the stage for Army units to succeed . The 413th CSB staff demonstrated their proficiency in the military decision - making process and their ability to carry out their wartime mission . They successfully completed all seven steps of the MDMP for fiscal year 2025 U . S . Army Pacific Pathways Support . A notable innovation in the evaluation was the use of Microsoft Teams as a platform for knowledge management . This allowed the brigade to conduct briefings , record evaluation events , and retain products . Elements of the 411th CSB and ACC Operations Directorate traveled to Hawaii to observe and evaluate certain events , confirming the 413th CSB ' s capabilities . Col . Jason Miles , the commander of the 413th CSB , stated that the External Evaluation 2 . 0 was a realistic assessment of the brigade ' s planning capabilities and readiness . The 413th CSB is responsible for coordinating and executing theater support contracting in the U . S . Army Pacific region , as well as providing support to joint forces across the Pacific .
