   Wilmington’s Public Works Department has compiled the attached list of streets on which construction or maintenance will occur this week by the City itself , or by either DelDOT , Delmarva Power , or private contractors . This information is for 
   Monday ,
   February 5
    through Friday , February 9 , 2024

   The City’s website contains a 
   real - time map
    that is updated daily so you can follow any changes to the weekly schedule caused by weather or other construction - related delays .  Public Works Commissioner Kelly Williams said every effort is made to compile the most accurate list each week of street projects that could affect your travel in the City the following week . She cautioned , however , that the time frames for the listed projects could be altered if they are delayed due to factors such as the weather .  
    
    
   The 
   Delaware Department of Transportation ( DelDOT )
    has announced the following projects that will impact motorists in and around Wilmington in the coming weeks:
   Crews will be implementing a new phase of the Rogers Road Reconstruction Project on Monday , February 5 . Westbound Rogers Road will be closed between Medori Boulevard and South Heald Street until late February and a detour will be posted .   Meanwhile , Westbound South Heald Street will reopen on Monday , February 5 . The work is weather dependent , and motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area .
   There will be daytime lane restrictions on I - 95 northbound near 6
   th
    Street in Wilmington on Monday , February 5 . The right lane will be blocked between MLK Boulevard and 11
   th
    Street from 9:00 a . m . to 3:00 p . m . the on - ramp from 10
   th
    and Adams Streets will be closed for a short time during the 9:00 a . m . to 3:00 p . m . time frame .
   Jackson Street Lane Restrictions
   : On Tuesday , February 6 , the left lane of Jackson Street between 9
   th
    Street and 6
   th
    Street will be closed as will the 7
   th
    and 8
   th
    Street bridges over I - 95 from 9:00 a . m . to 3:00 p . m . so crews can pick up trash . Also , a lane restriction on Jackson Street from Park Place to 4
   th
    Street will be in place weekdays from 9:00 a . m . to 3:00 p . m . until Friday , February 16 , for landscaping . The work is weather dependent , and motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area .
   The Walnut Street Bridge will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between A Street and East Front Street for preventative maintenance on the bridge . The closure will start Monday , February 26 and end on Sunday , March 3 , and a detour will be posted . The work is weather dependent , and motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area .
