Applicationsare being accepted through
Wednesday , March 6for volunteers interested in serving on the newly created , five - member Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park Trail Advisory Council .
The Advisory Council was created by the Clark County Commission , to whom it will make recommendations about matters involving recreation and economic development in the roughly two miles of park land fronting the Colorado River in Laughlin .

The Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park Trailis popular with residents and visitors alike , ” said Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft , whose district includes the area . “The Advisory Council will provide a direct conduit for those who want to weigh in on the uses of the park and any concerns that they may have . ”
The group also will help facilitate programs that take place in the park , including the annual Wings and Wildlife Festival and one that occurs on National Public Lands Day . Further , it will assist with community service and outreach events , including cleanups and promoting safety and education .
Advisory Council members will serve for a term of no more than three years . The positions , which are unpaid , are expected to be appointed by the Clark County Commission April 2 .
